of little faith

Overheard this afternoon on local newscast:
"People are having a hard time knowing where to put their money...
... or their faith."
I may not be able to tell you whether your money is better placed in a stock or under your pillow tonight, but I can safely say this with confidence:
If you put your faith in a government, policy, economic system, or candidate, you are truly and seriously misguided.  Your very life, freedom, and future hangs in the balance of this decision.   Not one of them, no matter how fully you trust, will save you.  While you may cast votes and give limited confidence to those who represent your ideas and values, do not cheapen your faith by placing it in a present time or person.  They are not saviors, and they cannot rescue you when you finally realize that you need your own bailout.

There may never be a completely safe place for your money, but there is a safe place for your faith.  If you're wondering how to invest, ask.

In Love,
MamaToo
