color blind

Obi-1 has really taken to noticing diversity.  This is a good thing, I think, as it leads to great discussions.  When it comes to hair color, I want to have some of these quotes written down somewhere (and you all know this is my version of a baby book!)

"My teacher has hair like spoons.  But not the colored ones."
"Silver?"
"Yes - silver.  Like spoons."

and this...
"What color hair does your friend "J" have?"
"Blind.  He has blind hair."

and this...
"Mama, what makes Papa's hair black?"
"That's just how God made him."
"Really?!?"

Diversity brings with it all sorts of comments for example in our house According to Miss K, she has brown skin, Mummy has yellow skin, and Daddy's skin is "hairy".

Aussie Mom : )

Aussie Mom, I love Miss K! What a sweet way to enjoy diversity without division. :)
