The Nordstrom Half-Yearly sale has begun.
This is not breaking news for you? What's that - you don't shop at Nordstrom? You mean to say that even 33% off is still over-priced? Perhaps.
I grew up thinking that Nordstrom was the main feature of a big city. It ranked up with professional ballet and historical landmarks. We'd have lunch, and shop for shoes. They even have a piano player in the store - a career of my dreams.
Celebrate as you wish.

Hmmm...I always wondered why they had that sale so early in the summer and not closer to back-to-school time. Lili has informed me that in going to high school next year she is going to buy RETAIL (we ususally try second-hand for environmental reasons) and she is "GOING to Nordstrom and Hollister and stuff." lol So maybe I will have to actually pay attention to these things, now that she's a teen. :)
Hee hee... watch out, Mallory. Lili is off to spend $200 jeans that look like they're second-hand.
I remember being in jr. high, and my mom would watch for name-brand things at 2nd hand stores. At the time, I don't think I appreciated how sweet & thoughtful it was - she could have just said, "Nope. I'm buying, we're not getting guess or Abercrombie clothes!"
