Correction - the boys had a cold.
Obi-1 started the trend, and quickly passed it on to his brother. It seems the only thing kids willingly share is viruses. We have spent the past 9 days avoiding most other human beings, so as to avoid spreading illness to others. This has been difficult. We have read books, played games, gone for little walks (whenever it wasn't raining!), and - ! - watched many, many movies. We have eaten more styles of soup than I care to recall. We've taken our vitamins, tried to get lots of rest, and gulped down water & tea. We've been to the pediatrician not once, but two times in a single week.
I always feel like I should have accomplished more in the past week, since we were home and all, but the opposite seems to be the case. I lost touch with people, had zero time to write, and piles of laundry start to grow. Nothing seems to stop productivity for me like sick boys.
Finally, as of today, the Obi's are well. We have no signs of fever, runny noses are over, ears don't hurt, and there's only the remnant cough - once in a while - to tell me they ever were sick. Best of all, their energy has returned to epic proportions.
Which would be cause to celebrate, except I feel lousy. I have a cough, I'm exhausted, and my throat feels suspiciously scratchy. If there's anything worse than nursing sick kids for days on end, it's trying to keep up with healthy ones while I'm sick.
Pray for health, please. We need it.

I feel sick too....
yes, I was remiss in mentioning my dear husband is also sick. Sorry.
I am hopeful that he'll be well enough to head back to work this week! He's a busy, busy, guy. :)
Seems to be the season although I am now sure that Miss K is the bearer of all things revolving around the flu. She seems to be risistant to the preschool/sunday chool strains but carries it home to us. Mr R and myself have been hit with sore throat, "tricky" noses and all manner of ailments this past week. So heres to wellness and good health to you and yours : )
